Traced mobo model & mfg through the bios
(Award V4.51 Pg), came up with Soltek SL-52B2
mobo with Triton VX chipset, downloaded dia. &
manual.
I tried booting from the 98 boot disk and Compaq,s
start up disk, with no luck. I also replaced FDD.
I'll try to boot as you suggest, and see what happens.

I appreciate your suggestion, thank you.

Anybody: What is the best scanner for internet page use only.
The usual color is 16 or 24bit(I think) and the resolution is less than SVGA. I would think almost any scanner would do, but some are much easier to use than others. Umax and HP look the best to me right now, but thats just blind name brand trust. There are tons of used scanners at ebay and classifieds2000.

By the way, I am not that satisfied with my Mag DJ717 (thats 1600X1200@69hz max) powered by a G200 8MB. It makes me see every single pixel flaw in my old PC games! Good thing I didn't spend extra for a Princeton or Viewsonic.

Also, how do you put up a post without making it a response to someone else's post besides starting a new subject?
And it's really getting to me that the SI spell checker doesn't know the word internet.
