Hello all, I just found this thread this weekend and have been going back though previous posts. I guess I come down on the pro-valence side of the ledger since I have followed the company beginning in1992, eventually buying in July 93. Even with all the delays and disappointments I still believe this company is very likely going to be successful, if not.....well it sure is fun to speculate.
As to the matter at hand, their was an interesting article in the WSJ yesterday about the Comdex in that many of the BIG BOYS are not buying space this year because of many of the reasons WFB mentioned. Companies mentioned included Intel, IBM, and others who complained about the price. Of most interest to me though was a quote attributed to our Mr. Shugart, saying that the Comdex had priced itself out of the market, this coupled with my own call last week to Betsy Truax with FRB, commenting that valence didn't plan anything special for Comdex leads me to believe we will have to wait for a later date for our watershed event.
