Michelle, it looks as if PeopleSoft is setting up a business which might develop products for PSFT's competitors as well. Depending on what we see, this deal has the potential of increasing aggregate business (and I stress the word potential because it really isn't all that clear in the announcement). Maybe they are looking at this as PeopleSoft's version of Lucent.

TTFN,
CTC

It is clear to me that psft is experiencing an downward momentum. They do not want their new business carry a heavy bag. They even called the new business "Momentum". They should have called it "e-soft" or "People.com". Still looking for under 15 before the end of year. I am now more convinced there will be an earning shortfall.
