Pardon all the posts from me -- for some reason I seem to be awake this morning. This one is on the crucial subject REVENUE and how we're going to see it coming in going forward. I was really happy to see it outlined by Steven in one of the RB posts -- how they're going to try to "prove the revenue stream" in the next few quarters, it sounds like especially by using WinTV for basic data. One thing this tells me is that we can all do some good by buying a WinTV board win it finally comes out bundled with 12 CDs, trying out the product and racking up some revenue for our company. To my mind, this will be where our company turns the corner, when we have verifiable revenue figures that we can take to the analysts to let them project out and see what kind of money we'll be making when we get wide market penetration for Embassy. Give me that WinTV board, I wish I could get out and buy it right now. The other thing I've been trying to make sense of is once again from the Embassy FAQ page, under the heading "What is Wave System's business model?" Here they talk about three "service areas" in which Wave will generate revenue. The first is just what I've been talking about here, taking a cut off the distribution of digitial content and software. The other two are murkier to me and I wonder if anyone else would care to try to help me make sense of exactly what they mean and how these services might be charged for. According to the FAQ, the second revenue stream is "for enterprises, ISVs, services companies and other companies who require the security and application capabilities of client based EMBASSY system, Wave Systems will provide application hosting services based on the EMBASSY platform. This will allow anyone to create new secure applications and services, and have them deployed or made available to EMBASSY enabled devices." Can someone help me understand what this means -- and how WAVX might structure payment for this service. The third revenue stream is described like this: "the EMBASSY system creates a strategic new customer relationship interface and client based portal to the entire range of network-enabled services and content not limited to the just the Internet. This customer relationship capability provides a robust opportunity for merchandising and advertising services offered by Wave Systems." Same question as above for this one. Thanks everyone.
