Blake, Tito said it in one sentence >To get Ahead, I Invest on the Stock, not on the Company...<

And if the stock goes up because of demand,
to he** with valuation. The stock is just
much more vulnerable this way.

What measure would you use to sell AMAT?
High PE, PSR, what?

Gottfried

Blake,I don't understand this sudden enfatuation w/ BTB's. BTB's don't mean nothin' when there is a significant inflection point on either the numerator (orders) or the denominator. We are at an inflection point for both.. .

All a 'fundamentalist' can do is listen to the sage opinions of Paul, Gottfried, Tito and others and decide whether or not to ride. 'nuff said.

Most of us do complete a fundamental analysis of AMAT, but also pay a lot of attention to Lester E., Big Bucks, Teri and others on this site. Then, we look at the DW TA charts and AMAT's past trends. For me I then consider the downside risk that AMAT will go lower vrs the upside gain that the stock will go higher.

By the way the BTB is one of the better indicators we have with AMAT. Gottfried does an excellent job of posting vital data and keeping us informed.

So far I have been on the postive side of my decision. Buy the Goralli's at their lows and they will reward you<g>

Just my opinions.

Blake:<<Does this (or any of the other important operating information to be had in the conference call) have anything to do with whether the stock price will go up or down? No. This stock has and will continue to prove otherwise. All a 'fundamentalist' can do is listen to the sage opinions of Paul, Gottfried, Tito and others and decide whether or not to ride. 'nuff said.>>

Yes, Blake, but more importantly, would you like me to send you a bumper sticker. Maybe you could stick it next to your computer or something. <gg> Jeff
