Ron/Nemer/Pat,

I think the three of you will enjoy this...maybe others as well, but you three for sure.

Ran across a spam on National Media tonight while flipping through SI. Read the news release. Sounds good I think...idea basically is an internet based shopping service that guarantees members the lowest prices. Hmmm..internet, shopping...so what if they make money. 6 7/16 was the close. I think this might be my ticket to internet stardom!

Wait, been down this road before. So I do a little checking. Cash to short term debt and A/P is under .20 (done in my head), cash balance is weak at best, accountant's issued going concern language. OK, what is the catch.

The catch appears to be that this is the one last chance for this company. They are selling memberships for $75 a pop. If you are a member you are guaranteed low prices, otherwise you are not. The $75 per person gets the company some quick cash so they "might" survive. The internet theme hopefully gets the stock price hopping so the founders, or president or whomever can get out. I did not look into further than I have described, but I bet there are some serious convertible bonds or stock or options out there and you will see the market flooded with this stuff.

This is what dreams...., ahem, this is what penny stock pushers dream of.

I think I will take a pass and watch it instead. Now if it opens tomorrow at $7 and does a KTEL on me, well.....shucks.

-Scott

PS - Sorry Tom, this probably should have been posted on the Z.....
