Del-- i remember scratching my head and running to the ion propulsion section of Thomas's register when they announced SkyStation. When they made the announcement and referred to it at last year's annual meeting they said there was too little air for props to beat on up where they wanted to be, and that normal jets were impractical, and the rocket engines (with their own oxidant) were overkill so they would be plugging the ion engines into our solar cells. He hasn't come clean with the rest of you but our very own Retiarius is a rocket scientist in recovery. Maybe he can look up from his patent filings long enough to enlighten us.
