The auto safety commission is recommending that auto manufacturers return to the old method of having the high beam switch on the floor instead of the switch on the drive column. They've determined that 90% of all nighttime accidents are caused by aggies getting their foot stuck in the steering wheel.

The nickname of the Texas A&M team is the Aggies. Don't know whether that is the origin of the term aggie, or whether they adopted aggie from somewhere else. The Univ. of Texas (Longhorns) are their traditional major rival.
