Would you take a moment to conjecture what it will take to bring this
internet buying panic to an end ? If K-tel is an example, it would appear that AMZN will have to be on the verge on being delisted before
the bulls will let this stock go. EBAY is even more amazing in its run-up. Can you recall when a group of stocks have moved up this strongly in the past with little or no earnings ? Finally, why don't we see institutional investors lightening up on the internet stocks ever so gradually.
It must be terribly clear that if an institution has a million shares
of AMZN to sell and everyone is heading for the exit simultaneously the institution will receive a great deal less than that day's opening
price. Wasn't it just a few weeks ago that institutional investors
in a Barron's survey identified AMZN as the single most overvalued
stock ? (AMZN was in the 120's at that time) Thanks for your comments.
