Zbyslaw, best I can tell is that this recent announcement with 2nd Century is the first 36190 customer. And this network will not be deployed until next year sometime. I cannot find any other press releases about confirmed 36190 customers. This has been Newbridge's "next generation" switch for a long time.

As far as SS7 support in any Newbridge product, I can't find it. Please supply a link. Thanks.

Also, I'm not sure about the 170's support of MPLS. Last I checked, this line lacked this important feature. And I also don't think the 170 supports an ADSL interface. Woudln't make sense in an ATM switch. More likely, a DSLAM box would front-end and ATM switch of the 36170's capacity.

gbh,ss7 is in 36190 now, and some customers in Europe are instaling it.For more info go to www.newbridge.com
Also 36170 has ss7 for some time, not mentioned LMDS,DWDM,CSI,MPSL,ADLS and more.

Sorry Z but not a word of that is true. The 36170 has none of the
above except perhaps CSI which is a new and proprietary scheme based
on MPOA which doesn't scale. There is no such thing as MPLS yet and
Newbridge has been firmly against it. No DWDM, ADSL or SS7. Definitely
no LMDS!
