Tippet - hope you get beyond the 'official line' - I think BWDIK, that you are a little too sanguine about the Y2K effects generally - what concerns me is the reported unpreparedness of so many foreign countries - and if you consider the millions of money transactions in trade which take place electronically, including settlements, there is the potential for major disruptions - or perceived disruptions giving rise to panic conditions. E
