LindyBill,

Re: I have wondered about rising stops. Will your Broker keep a stop in at, say, 10 below yesterdays close?

To the best of my knowledge, you can keep moving a stop as often as you like. Hindsight, and based on today's price action, a good move would have been to notice MALL trading pre-market at 32ish and placing a stop at 30 or so. MALL dropped shortly after the open, the stop would have been triggered, and you could have rebought later at a lower price. However, IF MALL had started at 32 and continued upwards to maybe 34, then the stop could have been cancelled at 30 and raised to 32. On a speculative runup where profits are in hand and wished to be retained, I'm thinking this is the best play. Would appreciate comment from others who might have extensive experience trading in this manner.

My thoughts right now are that this stock will be volatile the next few weeks and I'm willing to stand by any temporary drop. Based on eBay's reaction, I believe that MALL has much more upside potential than downside risk.
