<g> Timbur, are you an engineer or just a regular technomaniac? When I first told my engineer friends what I want to build, I had a few enthusiastic responses and they all had ideas which sounded like yours i.e. use infra red sensors to...I have a design that tracks your eye movement and...we can put a laser pointer behind your ear so that when you turn your head it rotates...we can use mercury switches to... and so on. I love all that techno-bable, but to me engineering is about optimization of all the resources to get the job done and my design is an elctro-mechanical device based on pressure sensors which I can build relatively cheaply. You should have seen the disappointment on their faces when they heard about it. The general response was, well it could work but it does not get us excited enough to help you. I guess if I build it I will not let them play with my toy <G>. Like I said in the original post, I am not talking about the flight control of an alien spaceship here.

Did anyone ever try that device you supposedly controlled with your mind?
