kirk, i analyze businesses. amat's business sucks and sucks bad - just as i've predicted. i suspect it continues much longer than ALL of the current buyers think it will.

if you or bob brinker predicted that amat's business would swirl with the tidy bowl man in the toilet while the stock rockets near 20% of ALL TIME HIGHS, more power to you. that is irrational and i believe it is being caused by pure supply and demand issues and that the price has disconnected from reality by any measure you want. maybe alan greenspan can keep the money flowing into the market forever. maybe not. i bet not. when stock prices begin to reflect reality, today's buyers will, imho, be disappointed. xlnx hasn't grown in almost 3 years and has a 35 pe. not bad for a no growth stock, huh? is it sustainable forever? maybe. i'm not betting that way.

btw, if amat is such a good deal now, are you buying? ;-)

also, amat is a buy at $12 for me.

cci? be careful about derivative exposure. cmb puts returned 1000%+ for me in 2-3 months (bought and sold). i plan on buyng more in the not too distant future.
