Skipping over the fond thoughts of the old days <g>...you're correct about the graphics applications but the next move (IMO) in computation intensive computing may be really good speaker independent speech recognition.

If fastest no longer makes a difference, why isn't the world run by PCs? Why can't MSFT run Hotmail with NT? Are we just talking about desktops? Isn't it curious that IBM is shipping around 2X the previous year's mainframe MIPs? Scott
