Web Street Securities may be a choice. They sent an email to me and said that they now are offering $100 credit for new customers. They claim 6-10 seconds for most market order, and have free on-line trade on NASDAQ stocks over $2 and over 1,000 shares, and other on-line trades are $14.95. Call them at 1-800-324-8246.

Disclaimer: I don't have account with them. So I don't know how is their service.

Fred,

E-Trade is fine and you'll probably be pleased with them. IMO, most Schwab customers would be better off moving their accounts to E-Trade. The commissions are 1/3 less and the company is a little more diligent with respect to problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
