Some may be using the dial-up trading system, in which case they have to get off the net to use their modem???!!!!

I guess I don't understand this. Why can't one just have multiple
windows open?

Ward, what I am suggesting that may happen one day, is that part of the line on the Stockwatch ticker will have a buy or a sell function through Stockwatch. Once you have logged in to Stockwatch with a password, you can access trading features and put in an order within a couple of seconds. I don't know how Greenline works on your computer, and perhaps I need a better one, but sometimes the login process can take a minute or two to login to Greenline. Each screen can take up to 30 seconds to load. I am sure I could improve my situation with a Cable connection and better computer. I guarantee one thing though, if Greenline gets Market Depth as part of their service and other items, I will likely cancel my Stockwatch account. I can't believe I just said that.........

At around 3:30 (?) today, I logged into Stockwatch. Stockwatch was slower than usual and the ticker took about a minute to load with the 5 stocks I wanted to watch for the day. I saw huge movement on PHV on open. Asks were getting chewed up like crazy in the 70's. I simply closed the ticker which for some reason took some time, went to my Greenline account, Greenline was really slow, and went to place an order. By the time I was bidding, something like 4-5 minutes had passed. The stock was already up to around 90 cents to a high of 97 cents.

As a day trader using a Pentium computer, but an older one than most, I can't access things as fast as the rest. If it was a minute longer, it would be fine, but all these "weak links" for me personally costs me money and opportunity. The process could be a lot quicker for all us if we could just trade where we get our market information from. Within the next month or so, I am left no choice but to get a P450 or at least P350 and a cable connection.

Nonetheless, just an opinion.
