Well Keith,
You have just confirmed one thing: I am too old for day trading. Just imagining the look of your monitor makes me loose my eyesight, not talk about my mind.
Have a good time you young pups; I'll stick to my slightly longer term and much less strenuous trades.
Still fun reading your thread.
Have a good weekend
kidl

Keith, I do much the same.

I first open about 6 ie windows.. si,wallstreet, mrci,CSW news, CSW marketview for most active, and CSW workarea. I also 2 live java's.. my portfolio and some market trend stocks(T:BCE T:TD T:BMO T:RY Z:IBM Q:MSFT etc) and 1 or 2 intra-day live charts that I might be day trading on.
I keep 2 netscape windows open. 1 for scotia discount and 1 for e-trade. I find that scotia expires in about 3 min and you have to relog. Because of the security, you have to close other windows sometimes to do the so you don't want too many open. E-Trade stays live so you can go back and forth for quotes or trading without re-logging. Wish I knew a way to keep Scotia on line without expiring other than clicking on something in it every 3 min.

If anyone has an answer to the scotia expiry..would love to know.

Jim

keith,

Thanks for the suggestions. Stock scanning capabilities are certainly one of the things that we are most interested in adding. If you or anyone else has a minute summarize the list of technical indicators that you would like to search on, (include the periods where appropriate) please email myself, the webmaster at Stockwatch or post them here or on Stockwatch.

BTW, I find it interesting that you are running the ticker in Netscape & have other IE windows open. I personally find that IE 4.x's Java VM paints the screen a bit faster making for a nicer looking ticker.

Note on Stockwatch support: I will be reading this forum and responding to some issues, but this thread will not be the primary channel for Stockwatch customer support. For the best support email the webmaster or post to the Stockwatch Chart forum on the Stockwatch website.
