I don't know. I could see replacing model 5000 lasers with a solid-state laser if such a laser existed, but replacing them with an improved excimer laser doesn't seem likely. Keep in mind, you are replacing most major functional parts of these lasers at some regular maintenance interval already. After replacing the various technology modules, it's like having a new laser in terms of performance.
