folks

go to yahoo finance's amzn thread, read a post, as you read it, kindly note the banner ad urging folks to go to yahoo's shopping site with over 2700 merchants ... think people think, yahoo's daily foot traffic (same holds true for aol and its shopping site) gives it free ad space (ya think they'll get better space and longer lasting banners than other advertisers???) to tout it's own shopping site to the most likely online shoppers -- online investors ... now what's more likely the wave of the future stand alone shopping sites focusing on a few items or portals/shopping malls which aggregate the best of any product area and pit them off in a price contest for a basket of goods??? who do you think will win the price battle? probably those with economies of scale (specialists) and real world production and/or massive inventory due to COMBINED internet/real world sales ...

Glen,<I better become an MD>
Glen it took me 6 years just to get a BSc and an MBA. I then I started out with a $1.49. Even poor Bill Gates had to work longer than that to become a multi-millionaire. I can't speak for Dr Tom but I assume he didn't start to make millions until he ran into KP and Bezos.
If Bezos sold out today, he would go down as the fastest human to become a multi-billionaire in the planet's history (inheritance excluded).
The next Amzn news release." Former Shaw hedge fund manager was put into the guinness book of records, as the fastest human to ever become a multi-billionaire!".
regards,
ps
If the guy would be just be more open. He'd make another billion, just doing the talk shows.
Can you imagine Jeff and U Bill on 60 minutes. Q. Jeff, How many people have you screwed? Ans. Jeff, I have until 2003 to answer that. Q. Bill, and you? Ans Listen! If you had a job like mine! No one will give you that long, to maybe deliver.
At the end of the interview it was reported that Jeff approached Bill about selling cigars on the Internet. Bill perked up, Jeff said, but we must get it done before 2003. Bill asked why? Jeff whispered in his year. That's when the "Association of Internet retailers" contract with Forrester research runs out.

Q: What's the difference between this thread and a Caribbean cruise?

See techstocks.com

for why the answer is "there is no difference".
