>>I suspect the stock will fly after the trial, regardless of the outcome

As a JD, you are probably pretty familiar with the process. How long do you think this trial will take? MSFT has issued two very positive earnings reports since the stock price peaked in July, but they have not been able to challenge the 119 5/8 mark. I think anxiety about the outcome will keep Mr. Softie in the current trading range until a ruling is issued.

I think you could be correct. I'm feeling that there we're getting enough unsettling news and negative analysis to make MSFT a worthwhile buy. A poor time to buy is when things look rosy: little room for upside surprises. Even then, though, MSFT's value grows into its price in time. If you have the time and the money, you'll win. PW.

"I'm about to take my first position in MSFT. I suspect the stock will fly after the trial, regardless of the outcome."

Just curious: Did you get in? MSFT was about ten dollars lower when you posted this. Happy investing, PW.
