Durants conclusion is just another biased opinion. Why not read the history and contrary religions and make your decision on research rather than faith in the the bible or some other faith believer like Durant who evidently did not check very much to be convinced he was right. See my post to Jane today. It describes you to a tee.

Bob, It did not 'start' in the 1700's. This was merely the first time that it could be exhibited at all in the open without being slaughtered. It flourished in America, and many people came here because of the religious freedom, and the lesser likelihood of being killed for speaking truth. Again the Church tries to paint preexisting ideas of Gnosticism and the Egyptians among others, as "New", in order the maintain the pedigree of their copy. Peace, Darrin
