The bottom line to this whole option repricing issue is this....they want to retain employees. Right or wrong as one's opinion may be, repricing options is the way to do it. Investors who bought at higher prices really shouldn't complain about this because this is what the company is doing to increase the share price over the long term.

If employees start leaving this will become the beginning of a much worse situation. PSFT employees are very much in demand. Then people would be asking why the company didn't do something to retain employees.

With respect to what happens when we enter a bear market....that's a different situaion because then it won't matter because everyone's stock will be depressed so why trade in options on one depressed stock for another.
