<<AOL boots MS >> Actually, the Washington Post is reporting this morning that AOL will stick with Microsoft's web browser even after taking over Netscape. Two reasons: (1) Windows carries AOL software and AOL does not want to give that up, and (2) it would cost too much money to reprogram AOL software to incorporate Netscape.

Now, both those reasons sound bogus to me, especially the part about programming cost. So perhaps there is something else going on, or perhaps the Post has merely swallowed some disinformation designed to throw Gates off balance for a couple of days. Or maybe I'm just dense, we'll see.

In any case, I cannot immediately see how this affects CKFR. I'm sure it does -- just don't know how.
