>>> Silicon Valley seems to be a hotbed of hatred and covetousness. Sad.

Redmond would be another hotbed. Not to mention the investment 'community.' And SI.

But what has that got to do with breaking the rules of the game? Perhaps the new MSFT defense is best called the Whine Defense. "Johnny does it too. All of the people who don't like us like Bill Clinton! All the other kids get to do it!"

I'm sure that if the others are breaking the rules MSFT will encourage the Gov to enforce the rules, eh? In fact, seems like they already are.

Some people fight the power, and some people cuddle up to it.

Cheers,
Chaz

Dwight, you good Christian weinie you. Have you developed a sudden interest in this area? What does your inerrant Bible tell you about the correct interpretation of the law here? Is the whole thing another part of the Clinton is Caligula formulation?

As to the "hotbed of hatred and covetousnous", you sure should know about hatred, having apparently dedicated a good part of your life to hatred of Clinton. Covetousnous, well, perhaps you can explain that camel and eye of the needle thing with respect to Bill Gates, clearly a man of wealth and taste. Who's stated that going to church is not "time-effective". He probably finds the idea "totally random, beyond bizarre".

Do you find it offensive that I address you in this manner? Go tell Bob.

Not me Dwight....

I am definitely a supporter of Microsoft and of Bill Clinton....In my mind there are many similarities between Ken Starr and the DOJ...

Same old same old: Netscape luvers, Clinton lovers, also haters of Microsoft.

Same old same old?

She referred to Bill Gates as "that Son of Satan".

Didn't take long before she acknowledged that the root of her feelings were based on pure covetousness, plain and simple. No, it wasn't Michelle Harris.

Dwight I have no idea why you feel the need to use my name here. But I want to point out that I for one am truly tired of you self righteous types implying that us more liberal types are somehow anti-business or anti-microsoft in any way. In fact I said this just today, and fwiw I have never met anyone from your "side" (if you want to call it a side) here that was able to engage me in conversation about software engineering management, due to lack of knowledge primarily.

Michelle>>>from a business fundamentals standpoint, msft has outfoxed the database vendors, specifically Oracle, and will kill Oracle in the marketplace predatory business practices or not. Msft will win in the enterprise shortly if they havent already

I will challenge you to find anybody on SI or anywhere that fits that stereotype you mention, on either side (Clinton hater, nscp hater, msft lover or vice versa). You and I both know that doesnt exist. Theres plenty of buffoons on the Clinton threads, as you know, that are very good at propogating myths and calling people LIAR LIAR LIARs with respect to their industry knowledge but of course this in no way implies they know anything themselves, and they largely do not.
