Dear Dale: What do you expect MSFT to say?? This is a very serious blow to them but I sincerely doubt they will so state. Suit yourself, but for my money, I think SUNW is a very DANGEROUS short. It appears they are entering into an entirely new trading range PE wise based upon the new outlook for the Company. For the life of me, I dont know why you go on and on about shorting SUNW when there are so many other less dangerous opportunities to short. JDN

Dale, i have no love hate w. sunw/msft. i hoped for sunw to go down.

cuz i wanted to collect more.

i hate to see any one to loose mony long/short.

SUNW is moving up due to fundamental changes not due to
msft or aol news. Ofcourse lots of peple are just riding the momentum but serious mony has been flowing that will not be moving out.

i m sure u will just cover ur shorts by the end of the day.
this is no time to short anything. i have no reason to convince u
one way or the other. good luck to u. i know sunw is extended but
so is everything. and this stock is just making up for past non-performence. short oil stocks if u enjoy shorting.

Dale J ..... No wonder you have no credibility on this thread; you are less than candid. You finally provided that all important missing clue ..... you are short SUNW and long MSFT ..... why did you not tell us that previously?

You have it wrong you know; perhaps you should be short MSFT and long SUNW.

Ken Wilson

<<Check out what MSFT says: Microsoft's legal consultant, Charles "Rick" Rule, a former senior Justice Department official, said the AOL-Netscape agreement is precisely the type of cooperative venture that the government alleges was improper for Microsoft even to attempt. Among the government's charges is that Microsoft attempted in June 1995 to divide the market with Netscape for Internet software.
"Unless they're about to go and criminally charge the Netscape and AOL and Sun people, which they aren't, then they can't claim these kinds of negotiations are improper," Rule said. "AOL and Sun are dividing up a business along some sort of market lines based on the strength of each company.">>

Dale, I mean really, who cares what Microsoft says here ..... they are backing up so fast and without thought that they fail to see the cliff behind them.

Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
The Humpty Dumpty in this case is Sunw and Sunw share holders are in for a great fall. But you guys just don't listen.

What is going to happen when the PC makers release 4 way and 8 way Xeon servers in large volume? What is going to happen when MSFT releases Windows 2000? What is going to happen when the remaining anti-microsoft crowd rally behind Linux?

I will tell you what is going to happen. Your carefully cultivated paper profits are going to go poof and disappear. Why do you guys think Scotty spends most of his time bashing Bill Gates? He understands what is happening. Unfortunately his only answer is bash Bill Gates.
