Republicans should proceed with the impeachment process and vote along party lines if necessary so history will lay the blame for the fact that there was no punishment for Clinton's crimes on the Democrats.

As it stands today the Dems will be blamed for making a mockery of the process with their impossible and contradictory demands for "fairness":

"Stop dragging it out, We need more time"
"It's just about sex, don't talk about anything except sex".

Joan,

You know I find it interesting that the link you cite for "neatly summarizing" the case for backing off come from an individual who in subsequent a subsequent post in the conversation states, "everyone lies, it's no big deal"......

You see the problem.

jbe,

With all due respect, I think your referenced post is ridiculous.

1. We should view, and judge ourselves as the "super sophisticated" Europeans supposedly do? That's absurd. They, more than most Americans have fallen for the "it's all about sex" proposition. Ah, yes, the eleventh commandment! Beautiful!

2. Do I sense that you and your poster are saying that we should back away from the rule of law "when it may be embarrassing"?
