According to the 10K for 1997, on November 10, 1998 AZNT converted the common shares to preferred shares for those people listed in the 10K. Wouldn't that seem to be a direct and willful violation of the judge's order to maintain the status quo?

You raise an interesting point. I'm not sure what the answer is. On the one hand, the converted shares are unrelated to the 4,480,000 shares the "return" of which has been demanded by AZNT. On the other, the conversion is (among other things) part of the company's attempt to provoke a short squeeze, which the judge has said he would not like to see happen. I think it would depend on whether the judge feels this conversion might put undue pressure on the defendants in the case.

And remember back when I said that the deal would be that the new preferred would be re-convertible to common at a rate of 100 to one?
