My personal opinion is that Greenspan can take credit for any lack of a soft landing. The timing of his second rate cut showed that he was going to prop the market up, and changed the market direction from slowly deflating to wild exuberance.

Don, I think there is a high probability that the Dow will make a run at the record high during the last hour of trading today.

We can expect that the over priced Internet stocks will be using their high priced shares for acquisition and printing more shares. The AOL deal was just the first of many as these companies try to convert paper assets into something real.
