My guess is that the COMDEX DEMO reality set in:

The K7 had NO RAMBUS support - Intel's Camino DEMO did.

The K7 reportedly had a back side L2 bus speed of only 1/3 the CPU speed. Not good - perfromance will suffer badly.

The K7 DID NOT HAVE a 200 MHz front Side bus - as has been reported prior to the DEMO.

Ergo, AMD's K7 has a long way to go before it is ready for "prime time".

Sharpy was demoed at 400 MHz - not 450 MHz. Again, not too encouraging.
