"How can you possibly support such doctrine calling it Christian?"

Like I said, you are a hater of the Christian Catholic Church and do not consider it a Christian Church. Ignorance and hatred is a horrible thing. There are many negaitve things that you say about the Catholic Church that I agree with, but your overall contention that Catholicism is not a Christian Church is straight from the pits of hell and have been put into you by hate.

Before I could rid myself of my hatred for Christian Cahtolicism, I had to go every morning for several months and observe their rituals and worship. I soon found that these humble Christian Catholics were
worshipping God every morning. The presence of God in their sanctuary became very real. Then I studied their liturgy and found it a powerful summary of the entire Gospels and New Testament.
The statues of Mary and Joseph to right and left of the Church disturbed me until the reality that Jesus was indeed born to a human family and these statues were mere reminders.
The Apostles decorated the vault and many saints the windows. The whole Church was surrounded with images from the Gospels and the Sriptures. Jesus Christ was at the center of the Church as the figure of worship

The service started with:
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The people said: >Amen.

The priest then said:
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The people:
And also with you.

The priest:
The grace and peace of Gopd our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

The people:
Blessed by God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Then the priest said:
My brothers and sisters, to prepare ourselves to celebrate the mystery of Christ let us confess our sins.

Then the priest and the people said together:
I confess to almighty God, and to you my brothers and sister, that I have sinned through my own fault in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what i have failed to do; ...

Then the priest:
You were sent to heal the contrite;
Lord, have mercy

you came to call sinners;
Christ have mercy
You plead for us at the right hand of the Father;
Lord, have mercy.

May almighty God have mercy on us,
forgive us our sins,
and bring us to everlasting life.

The People:
Amen

Then the choir and the people sing :
Lord, have mercy
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

Then the Priest, the choir and the people sing the Gloria:

Glory to God in the highest,
and peace to his people on earth,
LordGod, heavenly King,
almighty God and Father,
we worship you, we give you thanks,
we praise you for your glory,
Lord Jesus Christ, only son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
you take away the sin of the world;
have mercy on us;
you are seated at the right hand of the Father;
receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

This was taken verbatim from the modern Catholic Liturgical Book.
What is it that you find offensive or not Christian in this worship, John?

Have you ever been to a Catholic service and studied their words and Liturgical books?
