Hello all:

I have a concern about the tick. Scott and I both seemed to notice that the tick was negative a good bit of the afternoon, yet look at what we did!

Inger is calling for some downside possibly tomorrow or Wednesday, but doesn't say how much, he seems to think it won't be much.

Patrick, I was told that Camp had bought puts on Friday as well. Was this purely on the basis of thinking we would have our usual weakness on the Monday after expiration? Or does have have some other things he was looking at?

Thanks all.....I lurk more than I post, but was curious about this.

Mary

<Any comments on this unusual closing statistic? Twice in less than a week the Dow closed on the absolute high print for the day. >

Coincidentally, I was just on the phone with a data base junkie who tracks this sort of thing.

In his words, the DJIA has had 59 Record High/Record Closes since 1991.

37 of these resulted in the next day (today) having another Record High/Record Close.

Just trivia.
