$30 by Monday could easily happen, Sigmund.

There were some channel checks this weekend that indicated some stores were running out of Revenge. I held off posting this in case it was just a few scattered stores, but more and more posters are reporting that their local stores are out of Revenge. We're talking everywhere from EB to Wal-Mart to TRU. There are enough of these reports that it now looks like THQ has burned through almost all of the 900,000 initial order. All before the traditional hot Christmas season begins. This means that we'll likely see a huge reorder hitting any time. Considering THQ has seven months to sell the rest of this reorder and considering the experience last year when store shelves were bare of NWO by the week before Christmas, we could see another 600,000 copies shipped this quarter. Ie, the way it is looking, there might be 1.5 million copies minus reserves booked for the quarter. These are just estimates but are based on both the known (900,000 initial shipment) and the observed (harder and harder to find supplies of Revenge) and the conjecture (how long it takes to get a reorder in once it was obvious the game was selling better than expectations).

I love how THQ is milking this license. By March, THQ could have another $20 million in the warchest.

Marc

>>I have been getting up earlier and taking my shower before loging on<<

You see, you see that ... THATS the EXACT kind of love shared amonst THQI longs. Sigmund isn't wanting to get out of bed early to take that shower, he's doing it for us! If this kind of dedication is even a partial reflection of the commitment THQI management has to the company, it really won't be that long before THQI buys ERTS.

If a betting man were to lay down some money, I might be inclined to say Marc has the edge over Sigmund on when we see $30. However, knowing Sigmund gets out of bed before Marc (who is busy resting for the next tennis match), he just might attempt some shenanigans and work the price so it closes Monday 1/32 short of $30 on a down tick. Now, I wouldn't want to go starting rumors, but that Sigmund has been one good number picker of late. It's a crap shoot ... it appears thats also what I'm full of :o)
