< Amazon and some other Internet darlings have captured the imaginations of the public.
At some point that thinking will shift from "being where the action is at" to "Gee, do we
really want to create a new Microsoft & Bill Gates?" Large Internet etailers not only
represent great opportunity for growth but also a great change away from small shop
owners. This big brother centralization isn't all goo. Sure is delivers goods conveniently
by clicking on some buttons, but on the other hand it causes a few corporations more
control of what we think and how we buy. Do we really want this? Many of us do but
the "new thing" character of Amazon will eventually be seen as an "it". >

So, Rob, I guess you're still short? So now all you can fall back on as to why what is happening is happening is half-baked societal analysis?

Don't get me wrong! I love your posts! They are either very enlightening or highly entertaining. I must admit that this post is at the top of the latter category.
