Ahhh,
Yes, the FED has been pumping but they have been pumping for a long long time...yet rates have continued to come down. When does it all come home to roost...

As for the predictive power of TA. If one thinks that it's not predictive, the answer is simple...don't use it to predict the future.
I don't mean to be "smart" about it either. Doesn't mean it's not of great value however. Especially, if you reduce it to the least level of predictibility and use it to time entry and exit coupled with other indicators. What do I mean? I think it's very foolish to think that by looking at indicators on a chart that I can predict that stock X will be at price Y at point in Time Z. I can however get a pretty good indication if it's bottomed or topped over a certain time frame or just how far it's gotten ahead of itself in one direction. This can be of some use.
Just my opinion...
PS...in 1975 I WAS using graph paper...to chart the markets...

Take care, Jim
