Hi Jeff,
Very happy here! Glad I stuck it out, actually added in fits and starts all the way down. Bought my first shares at 60 (most expensive, pre split). Thank you for your summary of the call, much more complete than my own and organized much more nicely. tim
PS Happy Thanksgiving to all on the thread!

Jeff, I confess.

I've been in SMTC since $16.25. I also bought POWI at $16.50 and PURW at $6.25. Maybe this makes me a parasite, but it also makes me a LOT of money! I'm a very happy parasite. BTW, I did find THQI on my own:-)

Many thanks to you and TW,
Jim

p.s. Just bought ACEC at $3.50

Jeff >> aC - I'm sorry, being right has been tempered by your absence <<

Althought I am absence. SMTC is always on my favorite stock list for past 13 months and the foreseeable future. My friend actually bought some (based on my recommendation) in the 15s, I hope he still stuck with it :o)

btw: I wish I bought ZD last couple days :o( I decide to wait and see on WSTL, it doesn't look as good as I first thought.

Jim, is SMTC thread an unofficial ACEC site? If yes, let me say this: "I bought some ACEC on Tuesday too". I found it is extremely hard to fill a buy order of ACEC, anyone know why?

aC

The technical indicators are still positive -- perhaps a few more points before any pullback.

Jeff, great recap of the call. I missed the first 15 minutes (the management guidance)....dern!...but I think I was able to extract a good bit from the Q and A.

I was especially delighted that management continues to remain confident that SMTC will CONTINUE to grow gross margins. SMTC stated that the roadmap leads to gross margins in excess of 50%. Just wanted to point this out for any new lurkers. Remember that most of the hi-growth mutual funds SCREEN for e-x-p-a-n-d-i-n-g gross margins. We're going to start popping up on their screens.

Also, I would like to note that AMD was big time upgraded by ML's Thomas Kurlak, God of the Semi's, on Wednesday morning. I heard Squawkbox Joe Kernan (he is the funniest guy on this earth) say that Kurlak expects big growth in the AMD's K7. This is pretty interesting given the fact that on the conf call SMTC stated that they just had a big design win with AMD 's K7. Did I hear that right?--Did SMTC just get a design win with AMD?

Thanks,
LR
P.S. I am buying my 11 year old an imac today --must be contagious.
P.S.S. I never met a low PSR (<2), 50% gross margin stock that I didn't like:-)...go ACEC!
