Problem with NT4 and ATI's AIW Pro TV tuner: any ideas? I think the ATI All in Wonder Pro card I just got is pretty neat, and it works fine under w95. But I can't seem to get it working in NT. Tech support has responded once, but so far hasn't helped. I'll attach the e-mail and reply I sent. Any ideas much appreciated. --- Hi, I can't get the video player to launch in NT 4.0 with my AIW pro. I have the latest NT drivers and the latest Video player drivers from your web site, installed in that order, per your instructions. When I launch the player, I see briefly increased CPU activity, then nothing happens: no task control panel appears. There is also no thread in tskmgr executing for it. I have the AGP 4 meg version, just purchased. I'm using 1024x768 and 1152x862 resolutions, 16 and 24 bit color. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers a couple of times. Your help most appreciated. >Does this happen at any resolution and any color depth that you select? >Try 640x480 @ 16-bit color as a test, does it still happen? Yes, and yes. Each color depth I've tried does this, including the test you mentioned. >Try closing >off all programs running in memory, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL on your keyboard, a >"Close Program" box should appear with a list of program running in >memory. you will have to END TASK on each program. I've done this, and done a clean reboot, to no effect. >Also NT 4.0 must be upgraded with Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 3 in order >to recognize and support the ATI display adapter. I have SP3 installed. Some more info: my NT boot partition is D. I also have a separate copy of the player installed in C, but this is the Windows 95 version (I have a dual boot system.) I've tried installing the NT player to C (different directory than 95 of course), D, and E with no luck. I did test the tuner under windows 95, and it seemed to work pretty well. I always seem to get the same symptoms, identical to the ones outlined below. Thanks for your help. I use NT 99% of the time, and am anxious to get this resolved. Regards, Dave
