You are right. It is sad that many people got saddled at much higher prices. Whether it is a good or bad policy, I rarely take a position in stocks that have only recently started trading or debuted. They are almost always over-valued. Hopefully most have taken this opportunity to average down. Now that we are the bottom of curve on the chart, part of the problem to returning to those highs will be the amount of profit-taking we will see on the way up. Those who recently bought in could triple their investment once the price gets into the high teens. Preferably, we will see slow and steady growth. Calkins is ambitious and aggressive. Hopefully, this acquisition will give him the tools to get the word out regarding the company's products. Unfortunately, he picked a tough industry to initially market the product. The utilities industry is notorious for being slow to change. If they can get some of these big firms to seriously integrate Pacel's software into their systems, it could initiate a domino effect. The serious money will not necessarily come from their selling the software and licensing its use, but from providing the on-site technical support. I am also hoping that they will utilize this acquisition to make further in-roads into other fields. They need to diversify their product line. All in good time though.
