Newbridge Gets Cable & Wireless ATM Network Pact

KANATA, Ont. -- Newbridge Networks Corp. (NN) said it will provide a high-capacity, multi-service, multi-access asynchronous transfer mode network infrastructure for the initial stage of Cable & Wireless PLC (CWP).

The value of the agreement wasn't disclosed.

In a news release, Newbridge said the fully managed network infrastructure will span 40 cities in 13 countries, enabling Cable & Wireless to offer carriers and corporate customers highly competitive, advanced communications services across mainland Europe.

Cable & Wireless' full European network is valued at $1 billion.

The company said the new European ATM infrastructure consists of the Siemens/Newbridge MainStreetXpress 36170 MultiServices Switch and the MainStreetXpress 46020 Network Manager.

Cable & Wireless provides integrated communications.

Newbridge makes networking solutions.<<<

What if the numbers (Sales are nice) but expenses too high. Or many other factors...

What I mean his, be carefull, optimistic is nice, but we went up with the market this month and I doubt that overnight, the stock will go up another 10$ us, to many unknown remain to be seen.

The long term looks good for NN, but, there will be bumps and they could be sooner than we would like.
