tom, it depends. all those making money on amzn are feeling destined to make money. i'd bet fewer than 1% of them keeps over 50% of their winnings after this bubble pops. i'm not doing nearly as well as those amzn bulls in this market, nor would i. i want to be around a looooong time and that game is one of lots of noise for short periods of time.

Tommaso:

You might read "Trading For a Living" by Dr.Alexander Elder, which devotes almost half of the book to the importance of mental discipline and outlook.

For a listing of several of the numerous other books available on the subject, you can access the Trader's Library at traderslibrary.com

Tommaso, I really like that book. In fact, it was reading that book that got me on the long path that eventually led to SI. You know the formula for calculating value? I started looking for a computer program that would do it to keep from having to buy a financial calculator. What a long, strange trip. Still haven't found that computer program. Also wish I could find a good one to automatically keep track of my portfolio, after I punch in how much I paid, what I got, tell me how much short-term loss, short-term gain, long-term gain, etc.

FWIW, I cashed out a bunch of stuff first this morning.
