Dialogic Demonstrations
The Dialogic demonstrations at CTI Expo will highlight four key technologies as part of or in the context of the CT Server. They include CT Media, IP Telephony, LAN Fax and CT-Connect.
The Open CT Server
A computer telephony server or CT Server is a communications server based on an open systems model. It provides connectivity and media processing services for multiple vendors' telecommunications, media processing and potentially other communications applications. The key differentiator of a CT server is that it enables choice of different vendors' software and hardware through its support for multiple standard, open distributed programming interfaces, including S.100 and TAPI.
CT Server/CT Media
CT Media computer telephony server software allows standards-based applications from multiple developers to interoperate on a single CT Server. The demonstration will highlight the platform's architecture and multi-application capabilities. Attendees will see how different applications can operate together to handle single calls, as well as how system management facilities can be used to configure open CT Servers to run open CT applications from ISVs.
CT Server/IP Telephony
The IP Telephony demonstration will showcase voice and T.38-compliant real-time fax over an IP network. Located in the Sun Microsystems booth (No. 1131 in the Dialogic Partner Pavilion), it will show a fully compliant H.323 IP telephony gateway configuration for use over the Internet or corporate Intranets. The Dialogic technologies being demonstrated allow users to add IP capabilities to CT Servers in a manner that is transparent to other applications existing on the servers, and with minimal development effort.
CT Server/LAN Fax
Designed to complement the interoperability available through standards-based CT Servers, Dialogic will demonstrate its easy-to-use software for the comprehensive CP product line under Windows NT. Booth visitors will have the opportunity to install the GammaLink Fax software and send a test fax, demonstrating that this is the easiest product to install, configure and use on the market today.
CT Server/CT-Connect
The fast-growing family of CT-Connect products increases developer and end-user options for building CT applications. CT-Connect(tm) V3.0 is a computer telephony call control software component capable of connecting a wide range of telephone switches to a variety of data processing environments. Booth visitors will see how to save training time and development efforts by using the new Enhanced Software Development Kit (ESDK) with a simplified API, Application Generator Wizard and ActiveX control. The demonstration will also feature CT-Connect Call Information Manager.

Development Learning Center for S.100 Applications
Dialogic and other members of the Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF) are co-coordinating one of five free learning centers at this year's CTI Expo. The S.100 Applications Development Learning Center will demonstrate how, through the use of open APIs, developers can write programs directly to the servers and allow resources to be shared by multiple applications like PBXs, ACDs, predictive dialers and programmable switches.
At this learning center, you will hear from several S.100 advocates currently implementing the standard in a variety of client/server applications. Learning Center participants include: ATIO Corporation (No. 216F), Dialogic Corporation (No. 216E), Lernout & Hauspie (No. 216G) ECTF (No. 216H), MediaSoft Telecom (No. 216C), Prima Telematic (No. 216D), Rockwell Electronic Commerce (No. 216B) and Syntellect Inc. (No. 216A).
