Okee-boy...

I think we can say good-bye to Yilmaz and his gov't. However, the military will remain in control of that countries future.

Of particular note, Turkey and Israel have been developing closer political ties over the past 12 months or so.

But recently there has been evidence that Egypt and Greece are moving closer to one another as a political foil to the Turkey/Israeli pseudo-alliance.

Also, Turkey apparently was VERY close to taking military action against Syria due to its support for Kurdish rebels. Now Russia is offering to rearm Syria (subsidized by Saudi Arabia) with its latest military equipment.

We'll have to see where this leads to down the road. But political intrigue will remain the one constant in the Mid-East.

Ron

Dang! Nary a mention of the crucial MANOVA/GRNO deal. Clear case of oversight by the reporter, I'm sure.
