Good insights, DenverTechie...seems that overlooking the weaklings was a real problem in the Dan Reeves years, as I can remember just getting clubbed by teams like the Saints and Lions in the early '90s.

If it has to be, I'd glady accept a reg. season loss, if it serves as inspiration for the guys in predominantly orange to get back to (and WIN) the Super Bowl!

Adding my 2 cents here, I'm a Broncos fan and I kinda hope for 1 regular season loss for two reasons: 1) To get a loss out of their system before the playoffs. 2) A perfect record this year would make next year anticlimactic with nothing to look forward to.

Did you read Bob Griese has gotten some Broncos players and fans bent out of shape because he wants his son's team to lose a game to keep the '72 Dolphins undefeated record intact?

Since Brian isn't on the field that would be beyond his control. Perhaps the thing to do would be to let the younger Griese start against the pathetic Giants. If the Broncos were to lose let it happen at the hands of the Brian to make his father proud. We don't want to lose against division rivals and we don't want to lose a Monday Night Football game. So sit out Elway, Brister and Davis, in essence tying two hands behind their back, and see how they do.

Check out this prophecy: #reply-6567930 DenverTechie had the Giants game nailed as the potential perfect-season spoiler.

The Broncos should roll Sunday over the undermanned Jets.
