Eventually MTSN will merge into something, but when depends strictly on the boss. I don't think it will be anytime soon, for reasons I explain below.

More than a year ago, when the stock price was much higher, he was quoted several times in interviews mentioning consolidation as the future of the industry. He tried to get a poison pill adopted. (Does anybody know if it was successful?) I took all this as indications he was interested in a buyout but one of his own choosing.

That was long long ago, when the stock price was high.

No more.

Unless it's in his own personal financial interest to sell out, I don't think he will. And most likely, that means a stock price higher than when he was last talking about consolidation. Which means a lot higher than now.
