I know crossing/locking the market has been discussed before but I still don't understand it. Today I preferenced on selectnet and my order was rejected because it locked the market (I was trying to sell at the MMs bid). Then I SOESed it at the same price. It went through. I have often sold by preferencing a MM and merely offer at their bid. It's just about the only way I fill on ISLD. Any ideas as to why it was rejected today? And if you want out, what's left besides a market SOES (which I've also had rejected)?
