There is a lot of cash that has been sitting on the sidelines, waiting for the bear market to unfold. The tech sector is due for rotation, with the January effect/surprise still in store. Uncle Greenspan and mega-mergers are out to get bears' hide. With institutions stepping up with advance purchases prior to their trip to NI, I hope their trip to NI is positive. If it is positive, we should see another "wild" run up in price. If negative, we'll lose all of the gains in a hurry. Waiting for the trip report! Ram

FWIW:

The annual shareholders' meeting of Jan. 7 is also the first day of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The show has about 100,000 attendees, and features every sort of electronic gadget...

This is a little annoying, since I had hoped to attend the shareholders' meeting, and now it looks like getting a room in Vegas is gonna be difficult and expensive...damnit. Guess I'll miss it.

But the timing's still interesting...perhaps it will prove significant too. Maybe I'll go afterall...
