I agree. Spent the last time in a very small bed and breakfast there and enjoyed talking (in english) wiht the people there....Walked the streets and did some shopping in very small shops. but the problem is that most people get to only Paris and think this is France. Paris represents France much like Brooklyn represents the US. Get out of Paris and the people are much differnt. Provance is my personal favorite and having spend a couple of months there, have gotten quite used to the culture. Didn't know I opened a firestorm with this French thing.....Oh well.
