Thanks Karl,

I admit I was guessing. Figured the average at 60% but I see it's higher. Someone had once told me that Canadians cannibalized some of their silver at the end just like the US did with their half dollars, but I was unaware of the dates. Since the Canadian coins are a bit smaller than the US coins perhaps someone in the know could post how much silver there actually is in $1 face Canadian vs. $1 US.
