After one hour in Paris, the stock is up more than 2% at 750FF. It is the highest growth of the group that compose the CAC40 index (itself being down so far).
I do not see any news for that. 6% yesterday, 2% in a down market so far. Is it only the effect of the stock being late in its increase? Possible. After all, the market has been good in the US and Europe, and stock to pick safely are in demand.
But, my intuition is that there is something else. What? I have no idea. May be massive buy back by ALA?

>> "With almost 10% of the world's GSM mobile telephone market and over 40% of the French market, Alcatel is now a leading player, " <<

Do we know who has the other 60% of the French mobile GSM market? Is market share increasing? Is ALA really able to compete and make money
when the market for mobile phones is dominated by Nokia, Ericsson, Qualcomm and Motorola?

They will need a strategic partner if they hope to survive in this
business. - IMO
