AR, I am a lot lazier than you give me credit for. I use the money market fund that comes wrapped around my various brokerage accounts. The only exception being at Brown, which is so cheap. I usually opt for the govt. fund, as I believe a lot of the prime funds ain't that prime. There are lots of exceptions, such as Vanguard, Benham Capital Preservation, etc., but usually the brokerage account comes with some braindead Alliance fund, or the firm's generic brand, and I don't trust their skills in this area.
